The Passing of a dear friend--Glenn Miller

Today we buried a dear, dear friend. I miss him!!!!!!!!!! My Dad gave a heartfelt dedicatory prayer and my Mom made her famous buttermilk rolls and pumpkin bread for a light picnic after the burial service. What a special day. I'm glad that Glenn's remains reside where my brother is buried. It's comforting.

Thank you my sweet hubby for taking these great photos. Thanks Mom and Dad for all you did to make this special for Glenn. Thanks kids for being so good and putting up with the cold and wind. Glenn--we will miss you bud!!!

Taps was so heart wrenching. I remember camping with Anth and asking him if he liked revoli or taps better. He said, "Taps by far!" I miss my bro. His grave looks so pretty with the purple pansies and Addy put an empty shell from Glenn's burial right by Anthony's head stone. Naui put one in my pocket. Gosh I love Naui!

I miss Glenn too. He was a great example of someone with a lot of zest for life. I remember our visit to the cemetery with him a couple of years ago. He is a great man.

Oh!! Precious Glen!! I am so sad to see him go, but so happy to know he lived such a wonderful life. Maddie hit it so well--he had such a zest for life! How did he die? How old was he? Did lots of MOA people attend? So good to know he's in a better place and happy and pain-free.
