Ollie and the fluff ball (Dannyboy)

Madam Butterfly (Ballet West)

My Mom, Maddie and I went to the ballet on Friday night. I decided to dress up seeing as how I will miss the Academy Awards party tonight to go see Celine D. thanks to my friend Mike Brown for being so generous with his tickets. Anyway, I'm in my red carpet outfit. I made the skirt, but my Mom--the master made the bolero jacket. I apologize for wearing too much bush, and the expression on my face is funny, but look at the outfit. We had so much fun. We were all a little tired, but the ballet was amazing and the set and costumes was so wonderful. We just had fun being in the Capitol Theater together. It's a special place. I love those girls I was with.

Lolo and his big dreams of being a ball star

Our Jr. Jazz party and seeing Ronnie Price

It was a little disappointing because I made two big pizzas and we only had one teammate show up, but all the pizza got eaten in two days so that was good. I think the kids had fun and it was so fun to hear an NBA player talk about the path that led him to where he is. He doesn't play video games!!!!!!!!

Making ghee and khitchri

Pat got me into making some Indian cuisine when I was in Eau Claire. I love the ghee. I put some fennel seeds in 1/3 of the batch and the khitchri was delish. It's made with basmati rice and I used green chard and sweet potatoes and onions. It's not hard to make. I must admit--I ruined the first batch of ghee--I think I cooked it too long. It is great on toast.

The school play--No Strings Attached

The play was amazing and thanks to Pat for watching Lolo while she was helping back stage--I got to see the whole thing. Asher was a donkey and Camilla was a marionette. Her costume was alta costura!!! Pat made it. What fun!!!

Our stop at the Mall of America and lunch at Tandor (sp?)

We had to stop at the mall of America. My Mom, Pat and I rode the roller coaster. It was a scream!!! I bought a swatch and met a nice lady with three kids that were the same age as my youngest three. The Indian food buffet was soooooooo good. What a dream!

Our fabulous trip to Wisconsin for the school play.

It was great traveling with my Mom and Dad. They helped a lot with Lolo and they watched him while I took the Park and Jet shuttle back to the parking lot to look for my wallet. I discovered I didn't have it in my diaper bag when they asked me for my I.D. at the airport. My heart was racing--I was worried it was in Provo on the table or something like that. Yikes. I searched the car and got back in the shuttle and the driver asked, "Arn't you going to look in the back (of the van)?" Sure enough--it was there in the back. I don't know how it got there, but I was so relieved to find it, I gave him all the cash that was in it--it was only $20. Oh well, Anthony would have given him $100. The flight was amazing--Lolo slept the whole way. It was so fun to sit in between my parents on the plane. It was so great to see Pat when we got there--see pic. She spoiled us rotten.

Getting ready for Valentine's Day!

Elena's new dance class

I signed Nena up for a dance class taught by this talented woman I met through a friend. She owns Ruby Shoes dance studio which is just a couple of blocks from my house. Her husband built this fabulous studio where I take yoga too. This was Nena's second class. She was hesitant and didn't even participate in her first class so this was huge. The kids are so cute and Amber is a great teacher.

Dinner at McCool's for my Dad's Birthday

I just realized it's funny we went to a pub after we toured the temple, but that's where we ate--an Irish Pub. It was fun. I had some soup and potatoes and Addy got meat loaf. Naui got corned beef and for dessert we got the apple crisp. It was a fun little place and the kids were pretty much trapped in the high-walled booth--well kind of--they managed to crawl under the table 'cause they saw Maddie do it. I think my Dad had a good time too. I was sitting by him and the server thought we were together--see pic--there is only a 33 year difference between us--HA. What a swell party. My husband is the handsome one in the Brasil jersey.

A few more from the party
