Anybody coming to my party???

Any of you who know me well or even just know me a little bit, know that I love a good party. Well, I'm turning 40 and we are having a smashing good time at Faustina on Friday night--the 6th. I know that Laura and Trent are coming (I hope), Mom and Dad, Maddie, Mike and Sheri and Naui of course. That'a pretty good number so far. Cynthia--I hope you can come too. It's a swanky little joint up by the Cinnegrill and I have to be honest, I'm having it there for the dessert--blueberry soufle with lavender honey sauce. Ummmmmmmm Good.

Lody Lody Lody Lo Lody Lo

Laney's Baby Shower and a couple of Lolo of course

I will find some skateboarding photos. I can't find them right now.

I do love skate boarding. I hope to skateboard again but it will be on level ground and just the basics. I will try to find some photos of me skateboarding.

Roses from Naui--How 'bout them Jazz!!!!!

Another one from Mother's Day

Sorry--couldn't get more photos from Mother's Day

More from Mother's Day

I think I should have used the word affected in my previous blog. Maybe I am just too tired and I should stop blogging. It was a wild night last night.

Earthquake in China

So I heard on NPR that as many as 62,000 people may have died in the earthquake in China. Also, as far as the cyclone in Myanmar, as many as 32,000 are feared dead. So, I would like to ammend my earlier blog. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to all those effected. I worry about an earthquake happening here.

Resevoir Park in Salt Lake

I feel guilty for talking about Resevoir Park when 12,000 people have died in Myanmar (sp?) (Burma) and 18,000 are still missing, but anyway, here goes...
When I was little and living in Salt Lake, I remember my Mom walking us down to Resevoir Park to play. We would have fun collecting the old bottle caps and looking at the hippies (what were left from the good old sixties). Then we would walk home and stop at either 7 Eleven or The Hungry Guy for some tacos. These are such vivid and glorious memories I have of living in a great part of Salt Lake and my dear Mom who had the guts and the know how to raise 6 kids. Happy Mother's Day Mom!!! I love you so much!!! I hope I can create fun memories for my kids too. We have been trying to go to parks a lot--rumor has it that we as humans don't spend enough time outside any more. We are losing that tendency to "get outdoors!" That is really a shame. I love being outside and heaven knows my kids love to be outdoors!

One of all of us but Addy--thanks Dad for the photos!

We had a nice surprise visit from Grandma and Grandpa on their way to Moab. They are going all the way to Denver for the 25th Anniversary of the Colorado Mormon Chorale. I'm all about reunions now. We went to a Douglas Ward reunion last weekend and it was such a blast!!! I had so much fun talking to Tanya Ivins--a dear old friend and seeing the Evans boys and Renae Benson and 99 year old Louise Bauman and Josephine Platt---the list goes on. Being in my old neighborhood up in Salt Lake on 7th South and 13th East was so much fun. It was a trip down memory lane.

Cynthia--these are for you!!!
